A Repurposed Boise Trolley Now Serves Drinks on the Greenbelt

Bluebird Social, a new open-air food and music park at 1401 W Shoreline Drive, officially opened on the Boise Greenbelt with rotating food trucks, live music, and a vintage trolley car serving grab-and-go drinks.

BOISE, ID—Tucked along the river at 1401 W Shoreline Drive, Bluebird Social is the Greenbelt’s newest gathering spot, and it arrived with an open-air stage, art installations, and at least one genuinely good origin story: a vintage Boise trolley converted into a grab-and-go drink stop. The food park features rotating local trucks alongside a permanent outpost for Sear & Savor, a Boise favorite.

Communal seating and art installations fill out the space, which is designed to feel less like a pop-up and more like somewhere you’d actually plan your afternoon around. Bluebird Social is open Tuesday through Sunday from June through October—which is, conveniently, exactly the stretch of year when the Greenbelt earns its reputation.
